For statistical purposes and to improve Anton, anonymised data about usage is collected. Anton uses the open source application Matomo for this and honours the browser setting «Do Not Track». The IP address is stored truncated and cannot be attributed to a person.
The list of places can display a map. The map images come from the servers of the OpenStreetMap Foundation, which thereby learns your IP address, the page you are on and your browser identification. The map only appears once you open it — nothing is loaded before that.
